Punk and Happy Mornings

The punk rock mornings were typical during my mornings. It was cool to listen to Bad Religion or Pennywise (or both) when I headed to work. Now I usually listen to different songs to relax, without the need to wake up with fast drums and guitars; just a sweet soundtrack that brightens my day.

Is it about being an adult? I don’t think so. I have acquaintances older than me that listen to the punk classics. Hell, I know others that still listen to the middle school bands that we used to love and still do—Blink 182, Sum 41, among others that were there during our teenage years. Like it or not, the happy punk songs are catchy. I am aware that some of their lyrics were awful. Some of them were great, but like seriously, think about Blink’s lyrics today and ask yourself if you would be proud singing out loud.

Hey, I still listen to them from time to time. All that music brings back good memories.
